In this video I provide an introduction to the 10 Commandments. I discuss each commandment attempting to highlight each ones relevance for us all today. Hopefully students will be able to see the importance of these commandments in their own lives.
In this video I explore what it means to be a steward of God's creation. This great responsibility is given to us in the creation story where humans are made by God to till and keep the earth. This video is a great lead into the wider issue of care for our environment and God's creation.
In this video I explore the Catholic teachings on love. I draw on scripture passages and the great teaching of St Thomas Aquinas of loving being about willing the good of another.
This video explores the Catholic teaching of our sexuality being a gift from God and how it is about a persons whole being. This video also reminds us of the three key elements of marriage being love, commitment and openness to having children.
This video on Christian Decision Making begins with an understanding of values which guide our decisions. A five step decision making process is proposed with values in mind. Finally I discuss the Catholic understanding of conscience being that place where we meet God to help guide us on our way.
The Beatitudes are presented in this video focusing on their presentation from Matthew's Gospel Ch 5:1-11. As each is discussed students will see their relevance for how they are called to live in today's world.
Here I take students on a journey through Holy Week beginning with Palm Sunday leading into Holy Thursday and Good Friday. The Resurrection story is then explored with a look at Easter Sunday and the significance of Jesus rising from the dead.
